Established in 1876, the Oxford Alpine Club is one of the country's oldest mountaineering clubs. Our members span every generation and every corner of the globe, enjoying every genre of climbing from bouldering to big walling. Primarily, the Oxford Alpine Club exists as a worldwide network of Oxford Alumni, who share an interest in mountaineering and Alpine pursuits. Whilst we do not actively organise expeditions or climbing trips for our members, we do provide a means to keep in touch and expand our passion for adventure, exploration and the outdoors.
Our landmark guidebook to some 9000 routes across 20 geographic areas of the UK, including detailed topos for more than 170 sport crags.
